LAURA MCBURNETT

Laura joined A Step Ahead in 2021 and has been practicing Physical Therapy for over 40 years.
Laura is experienced in neurological rehabilitation and balance disorders as well as vestibular rehabilitation. Laura is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist, and she is also certified in Myofascial Therapy and Dry Needling. She enjoys treating a variety of orthopedic conditions, vestibular problems and TMJ.
Laura has been practicing Physical Therapy for over 40 years. She received her BS in Physical Therapy from Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University and her Masters in Health Science from University of Indianapolis. She spent the first half of her career in inpatient rehabilitation and acute hospital care. She was the Director of Physical Therapy at South Fulton Hospital, the Director of Rehabilitation Services for University Hospital Systems in Tarboro, NC and she was a Clinic Director for Leesburg Physical Therapy in Leesburg Virginia.
Laura and her husband reside in Cumming. She enjoys spending time with her daughter and grandson, cycling and walking. She has been practicing Pilates for over 20 years and often incorporates it into her treatments.
